A job in procurement at St Andrew’s offers opportunities to work in a broad range of commodity and service categories, providing a sound basis for your future career progression, particularly in the healthcare or hotel services sectors.

The Procurement department works with clinical and operational teams across St Andrew’s to ensure that appropriate quality goods and services are procured at the right time and in the right place, and are obtained for the best possible value for money.

Our goal is to ensure the St Andrew’s supply chain operates in the most 'lean' way achievable and that we support all areas of the Charity in developing efficient and effective solutions for our goods and services needs. Our goal is to maximise the Charity’s purchasing power, creating an environment where patient care is effectively supported.

The Procurement function has three main elements.

  • The Tenders and Contracts team works across the Charity’s goods and services expenditure categories to achieve the best possible value for money contracts.
  • The Operational Purchasing team ensures internal customers' requirements are effectively processed into purchase orders with our suppliers, and provides day-to-day support on all supply chain matters.
  • The Stores and Distribution team ensures all goods arriving at the Charity are kept secure and delivered to wards and departments in a timely manner.
