Human Resources (HR)

The St Andrew's Human Resources (HR) department is a valued partner to all areas of our Charity, and its opinions are actively sought out by leaders and stakeholders.

We add value to the Charity on a daily basis, through our HR team and the business partnering model we operate, coupled with more specialist functions such as recruitment, learning and development, and reward.

At St Andrew’s, HR is involved in a wide-ranging and challenging brief of planning, recruiting, training and retaining a workforce of the highest quality.

Roles within Human Resources

There are many disciplines working within HR at St Andrew’s. We recognise that each specialism is able to bring an expertise to our Charity that helps provide our staff with the right skills, knowledge and capability to deliver excellent, compassionate care.

The Learning and Development team delivers over 20,000 learning days per year in over 300 topics areas. Our provision includes e-learning, face-to-face delivery, coaching, mentoring and higher education training. Our experts also support career development and personal growth. Learning and development professionals and administrators work closely together to support the Charity in achieving its aims.

HR Operations operates a business partner model at St Andrew’s, ensuring the team  is the central point of contact for all people issues, queries and information, providing managers and staff throughout the Charity with advice and guidance on employment matters, pay and rewards, wellbeing, and managing and supporting colleagues.

Our Recruitment team is dedicated to sourcing, assessing and appointing the most competent candidates to work for St Andrew's, as well as linking with other HR colleagues and internal customers to fulfil the career expectations of our employees.

HR Services provides an administrative structure and support to all our HR processes and the wider organisation of the HR department.

As an HR professional within St Andrew’s, you will be challenged on a daily basis. You will be expected to make and meet commitments.

You will need to be a great team player and a lot of what we do depends on the ability to build excellent relationships quickly. You will find you form great partnerships with both HR colleagues and the people we provide services to throughout the Charity.

You will also meet and work and with our patients regularly, which is very rewarding and ensures that patients are at the heart of everything we do.
